I had a few questions about storing fresh herbs. I’ve kept some with their tips in a glass with clean water (changed daily) and others unwashed in a ziploc bag in the refrigerator. I think it does depend on the herb. Martha Stewart uses the ziploc bag method. I found another website that said to store them in a bag with a damp paper towel. I’d love to hear what works for everyone else.

Opening Day
Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006Greetings!
Looking forward to seeing everybody on Monday. Remember that pick up times here are from 6:00 to 8:00. We will be delivering to the UU Church parking lot on Wigwam Hollow Road (for those with in-town pick-up) from 4:30 to 5:00.
Directions: To get to our place, follow Johnson Street south past the high school. Continue south for approximately 9 miles until you reach Bellingham (or 300) road. You will know when you’ve reached Bellingham road when you see the power substation on your right hand side.
Take a right on Bellingham road (west). Approximately a half mile down the road you will find a white farm house close to the road on the left hand side. On the right hand side, across from the white house is the entrance to our driveway. Follow the driveway to our house (it is two-story, brown, and cedar-sided).
Don’t kill the Killdeer
Sunday, May 14th, 2006This is a photo of a Mother Killdeer on her nest in the middle of the Barefoot Gardens driveway. There are 4 eggs. It’s been there at least 3 weeks. We’re hoping they’ll hatch soon and find a new home.
